LA JAGUA DEL PILAR: is 35 km from Valledupar. The turn to the right on the branch road is 7 km away. Recognized for the town nestled in the mountain range, attractive vernacular architecture, founding history, the “El Cardenal Guajiro” Eco Park bathed by the Velas de Marquesote River, the folk plaza of vallenato festivals, and fertile, prodigious land that gave birth to distinguished singer-songwriter and manager Rafael Manjarrez, Juan Segundo Lago, Emiliano Zuleta Baquero, Toño Salas, and versifiers who share their joy with visitors, among others.

URUMITA: is 14 km away. The turn to the right on the branch road is 1.5 km away. An indigenous hamlet mixed with European immigrants surprises with its coffee history, colonial architecture, and tradition. Enjoy its festivals and flowers, and the warm, cheerful embrace of a community united by folklore.

Recognition of emblematic plazas, an open-air gliptoteca of singers, and iconic houses where the song “La Gota Fría” was born. Urumita Real boasts a roster of bards, singer-songwriters, interpreters, and young singers such as Fabián Corrales, Orlando Liñán, Silvestre Dangond, Churo Díaz, Dinastía Ramos, Maestre, and more. VILLANUEVA: is 7 km away. Macondian stories and anecdotes with renowned characters like Rafael Escalona and Tite Socarras take you on a physical and musical journey full of memories. Visit iconic places like the Accordion Cradle gazebo and the tutored Cerro Pintado, the agricultural pantry of the province. Tour the San Luis and El Cafetal neighborhoods, the origin of musicians, teachers, and cultural managers par excellence. Villanueva Grande is the seat of the “Parranda Blanca,” a sacred ritual that values friendship; cradle of dynasties, interpreters, and musical groups that tour the world bringing joy and happiness, such as Israel Romero (El Binomio de Oro), Jean Carlos Centeno, Jorge Celedón, Egidio Cuadrado, Rosendo Romero, Daniel Celedón, Murgas Dynasties, Maestre, Zuleta, and El Turco Gil, and more. EL MOLINO: is 10 km away. The turn to the right on the branch road is 2 km away. It is distinguished by its ethnic, religious, and folkloric mix, as well as the history of everything surrounding it, royal roads leading to the Colombian-Venezuelan border. It is adorned with several ornamental bridges bathed by the river of the same name; its Hermit of San Lucas, impeccably preserved, is part of the National Heritage Interest Asset. Folkloric and religious festivities. Land of bards and singers from the Grande Magdalena, such as Francisco Irino Marzal “Chico” Bolaño, a notable interpreter and musical narrator, dynasties like Meriño, Rosado, Oñate, Díaz, and the vallenato singer of all time, Alberto “Beto” Zabaleta Celedón.

SAN JUAN DEL CESAR: 17 km away. A charming municipality with a history to tell and sing since the colonial era, featuring republican architecture and a setting for novel film shoots due to its natural surroundings bathed by the heritage and inspiring Cesar River. Visit representative and folkloric plazas, urban art; the Museum of Vallenato Composition, which boasts a range of composers that make it unique in the vallenato country, such as the Marín dynasty, Roberto Calderón, Luis Egurrola, Roberto Daza Urbina, Aurelio Núñez, Sergio Moya, Máximo Móvil, Franklin Moya, Silvio Brito, Hernán Urbina Joiro, Isaac Carrillo, and more.
