Route: Sierra Nevada Foothills, Cesar area: Valledupar, Pueblo Bello, Ariguaní River, Valencia de Jesús, Valledupar.

Departure from VALLEDUPAR to PUEBLO BELLO, observing the majestic landscape among the mountains that are part of the black line of origin that guarantees the protection of the four indigenous peoples, prodigious hands that weave crafts with fascinating wool designs. Watching the Arhuacos travel along the long paths to the heart of the world, allowing us to respectfully delve into their culture.
Moving forward and 15 minutes from the intersection on the right, interpretation of JIMAIN, a talanquera village whose purpose is to recover the territory, preserve the culture, its architecture, traditions, and community work. School where the Iku language is taught to children from throughout the reservation and their artistic values.
We continue to PUEBLO BELLO. 30 minutes away. Territory with charms and mild climate at 1,200 meters above sea level, excellent coffee producer with international quality seals. The only municipality nestled in the Sierra Nevada, territory shared with the Arhuaca ethnic group who, with their wisdom and spirituality, maintain the harmony of the world. Tour of the main street and its picturesque houses, home of the younger brothers, a hardworking community where bartering of products at the farmers’ market is appreciated. Talk about Arhuaca Culture and placement of energy harmonization threads by a native, wellness hiking along the Ariguaní River. Varied lunch according to selected typical menus. Visits to organic coffee shops and regional crafts.
On the way back we visit the district of VALENCIA DE JESÚS: it was an administrative enclave of the Spanish crown, with crops and extensive livestock farming since colonial times, surrounded by Afro-descendant communities dedicated to pottery. It features the Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth from the 17th century, declared a Monument of Cultural Interest of the Nation, a place of faith and tradition most visited during Holy Week in the region.
