Natural Reserve “Ecoparque los Besotes” (Day Trip)

SIERRA NEVADA-CESAR ROUTE Located 12 km north of Valledupar, km 8, road via Río Seco. Valledupar – Cesar – Colombia.
Experiences: Welcome to the First AICA in Colombia, the ecological Natural Reserve “LOS BESOTES,” known as a wildlife sanctuary that invites you to connect with and enjoy the natural riches of tropical dry forest mountain hiking. Charming place that hosts countless migratory, semi-endemic, and regional birds, among others. Contemplate the ancestral universe of the protective Cerro Murillo, streams, and waterfalls. A place for research and environmental awareness.
Activity: Leaving northward from the municipality of Valledupar along the southeastern foothills of the Sierra Nevada for a stretch of 3.5 km by private vehicle to the first station. We continue walking for 3 km with slight ascents at different levels until reaching the camp and social area, which is about 500 meters above sea level. Rest and meal stop. Breakfast is provided. Four-hour mountain hike along a trail for observation and contemplation of the unexpected biodiverse landscape. Return to camp for lunch. Free time and Return hike to the first station where the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Valledupar, your place of origin.
